BLEACH (EN)
BLEACH (Japanese: ブリーチ, Hepburn: Burīchi) is a legendary supernatural action series written and illustrated by Tite Kubo. It is celebrated as one of the "Big Three" of Weekly Shōnen Jump, famous for its stylish character designs, poetic dialogue, and iconic sword-based combat system.
The story follows Ichigo Kurosaki, a hot-tempered teenager with the ability to see ghosts. His life changes forever when he meets Rukia Kuchiki, a Soul Reaper (Shinigami) who is wounded while defending his family from a Hollow—a corrupt spirit that devours souls. To save his family, Ichigo absorbs Rukia's powers and becomes a Substitute Soul Reaper. He is soon thrust into the world of the Soul Society, an afterlife governed by samurai-like warriors, where he must navigate complex conspiracies while protecting the balance between the living world and the dead.
