Chainsaw Man
Chainsaw Man (Japanese: チェンソーマン, Hepburn: Chensōman) is a genre-defying Action Horror masterpiece created by Tatsuki Fujimoto. Since its debut in Weekly Shōnen Jump in 2018, it has become a global phenomenon, praised for its unpredictable storytelling, cinematic framing, and deeply flawed, human characters.
The story follows Denji, a teenage boy living in extreme poverty, burdened by his deceased father's massive debt to the Yakuza. His only companion is Pochita, a small, chainsaw-dog demon. After a brutal betrayal leaves them both for dead, Pochita merges with Denji's heart to save him, granting him the ability to transform his limbs into chainsaws. Denji is soon "recruited" (under threat of death) by Makima, a high-ranking official of the Public Safety Devil Hunters. His new goal is simple: to live a "normal" life with three meals a day and a girlfriend—but the world of Devils is far more cruel and complex than he imagined.
