Dorohedoro
Dorohedoro (Japanese: ドロヘドロ) is a masterpiece of dark fantasy and "industrial" surrealism created by Q Hayashida. It has gained a massive cult following for its unique "grungy" art style, its pitch-black sense of humor, and its surprisingly wholesome characters despite the extreme violence.
The story is set in two parallel worlds: The Hole, a decaying city where humans live, and the Sorcerers' World. Sorcerers frequently visit The Hole to use humans as "practice targets" for their magic, leaving them mutated or dead. The protagonist, Caiman, is a man whose head was transformed into that of a lizard by a sorcerer, and who has lost all his memories. Immune to magic, Caiman spends his days hunting sorcerers with his best friend Nikaido, biting their heads to let the mysterious entity inside his mouth identify the sorcerer responsible for his condition.
