Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation (Chinese: 魔道祖师, Pinyin: Mó Dào Zǔ Shī) is a world-renowned Xianxia (Fantasy Cultivation) series by Mo Xiang Tong Xiu (MXTX). It is a cornerstone of the Danmei (Boys' Love) genre and has achieved massive mainstream success through its various adaptations, including the hit live-action drama The Untamed and its stunning Donghua (animation).

The story follows Wei Wuxian, a brilliant and free-spirited cultivator who founded the "Demonic Path" out of necessity during a time of war. Though he fought to save his people, he was eventually feared, betrayed, and killed as a "villain." Thirteen years later, he is summoned back to life in the body of a lunatic. To solve a mystery involving a cursed severed arm, he reunites with his former classmate, the stoic and noble Lan Wangji. Together, they embark on a journey to uncover the dark secrets of the past and clear Wei Wuxian's name, while realizing that the monsters they fought weren't always the ones with fangs.
