Classroom of the Elite (Japanese: ようこそ実力至上主義の教室へ, RR: Yōkoso Jitsuryoku Shijō Shugi no Kyōshitsu e) is a premier Psychological Drama and School Life light novel and anime series. It is a massive favorite in the global community, specifically for its "Mastermind" protagonist and its ruthless, high-stakes meritocracy.

The story is set at the Tokyo Metropolitan Advanced Nurturing High School, a prestigious government-funded institution where 100% of students supposedly go on to college or find employment. The school grants students points worth 100,000 yen a month and allows a great deal of freedom. However, the school is a cutthroat battleground. Kiyotaka Ayanokōji is a student who deliberately placed himself in Class D, the "garbage" class for inferior students. While appearing socially awkward and unremarkable, he is a terrifyingly brilliant genius from a mysterious facility called the White Room, secretly manipulating events from the shadows to help his class rise to Class A while maintaining his own anonymity.
