Funouhan (Japanese: 不能犯, Hepburn: Funōhan), also known by its English title Impossibility Defense, is a chilling Psychological Thriller and Seinen manga written by Arata Miyatsuki and illustrated by Yuya Kanzaki. Serialized in Grand Jump from 2013 to 2020, it is famous for its dark exploration of human malice and the loopholes of the Japanese legal system.

The story centers on Tadashi Usubuki, a mysterious man always seen in a black suit, who can be found at a specific park bench. He is a "contract killer," but with a twist: he never uses physical weapons. Instead, he uses suggestion, hypnosis, and psychological manipulation to cause his targets to die of "natural causes," such as heart attacks or accidents brought on by their own guilt or fear. Because his methods cannot be scientifically proven in a court of law, he is a "Funouhan"—a person whose crimes are legally impossible to prosecute.
