Gachiakuta
Gachiakuta (Japanese: ガチアクタ) is a high-energy Dark Fantasy and Battle Shonen manga written and illustrated by Kei Urana, a former assistant to Atsushi Ohkubo (Soul Eater, Fire Force). Since its debut in Weekly Shōnen Magazine in 2022, it has exploded in popularity due to its "graffiti-punk" aesthetic and its unique take on class warfare and environmental themes.
The story follows Rudo, a boy living in the slums of a floating city where the "High-Sky people" live in luxury while dumping their trash into a massive, bottomless pit called The Abyss. Rudo is a "scavenger" who finds value in discarded things. After being framed for the murder of his foster father, he is thrown into the Abyss. Instead of dying, he discovers a vast, subterranean world populated by Givers—people who can draw out the latent "souls" of objects to use them as powerful weapons called Vitals. Rudo joins the Cleaners, a group dedicated to fighting the "Trash Beasts" spawned from human neglect.
