Jujutsu Kaisen (Japanese: 呪術廻戦, Hepburn: Jujutsu Kaisen) is the modern titan of dark fantasy shonen, written and illustrated by Gege Akutami. Since its debut in 2018, it has become a global phenomenon, celebrated for its brutal, high-stakes combat, "hard" magic system, and its willingness to kill off major characters, earning it a reputation as a member of the "Dark Trio" of modern Shonen Jump.

The story follows Yuji Itadori, a high school student with freakish physical strength. To save his friends from a "Curse"—a monster born from negative human emotions—Yuji swallows a rotting finger belonging to Ryomen Sukuna, the "King of Curses." Instead of dying, Yuji becomes a vessel for Sukuna. Under the guidance of the world’s strongest sorcerer, Satoru Gojo, Yuji joins the Tokyo Jujutsu High School to find and consume Sukuna’s remaining 20 fingers, with the ultimate goal of being executed to destroy the King of Curses once and for all.
